Tessa Hennessy Solicitor is run by Tessa Hennessy BA (Hons), a qualified solicitor and sole principal of the practice. As well as having sound legal credentials Tessa has extensive knowledge of the third sector.
Tessa qualified as a solicitor in Birmingham in 1989 and practised in commercial law for several years before taking up an in-house legal position with a large Birmingham based charity.
In 2002 Tessa moved to Oxford and worked as a specialist business advisor in the social enterprise/co-operative sector. She specialised in advising new and existing groups on legal structures and governance issues. Tessa has delivered national and local training on a wide range of legal structures from community interest companies to industrial and provident societies.
Tessa is a member of the Law Society and the Charity Law Association.
